Badala Barilai Song translation & meaning in English

Don’t know from where i should start my story
i feel shame in telling it
An incident occurred in my life
The wound is still the same

I also had some dreams in my eyes
For my life

I promised to myself that will win the world someday
Today i lose with myself

I had kept my youth with care like flowers
A sinner pluck and took it away

The door of justice did not opened
with the keys of poor

they see us like a toy
from the eyes of society

If it is a sin to be born a girl
then do not create a girl mother nature

It is a traditional melodious song based on folk tune. Some of the visual elements are based on the folk Nepali tales and hearsay. Rape and sexual violence is a deep-rooted issue in Nepal, as well as all around the world too, this video wishes and prays against any kind of sexual violence against women and girls.
